The 3 C’s in Life: Choice, Chance, Change
There’s a quote I love that says:
“You must make the choice, to take the chance, if you want anything to change.”
Let’s take a minute to unpack that.
Life is full of ups and downs, twists and turns. And sometimes, we get stuck in the same old routines or patterns, wishing things were different—but not knowing how to actually make them different. That’s where the 3 C’s come in: Choice, Chance, and Change.
1. Choice
It all starts with a choice. Every day, we’re faced with hundreds of them—some big, some small. What we eat, how we move our bodies, how we speak to ourselves, who we spend time with, how we react to stress.
When we become more intentional with our choices, we start to take back our power. We realize that we don’t have to stay stuck. We don’t have to wait for the “right time” or for someone else to give us permission.
The first step to change is choosing something different.
2. Chance
Once you’ve made a choice, you’ve got to take a chance. This is the hard part. It means stepping into the unknown, doing something that feels uncomfortable or scary. It might mean saying yes to something new—or saying no to what’s no longer serving you.
Taking a chance means trusting yourself. It’s about having faith that even if it doesn’t go perfectly, you’ll learn and grow from it.
And guess what? You’re stronger than you think. You can handle more than you realize.
3. Change
And finally, when you make the choice and take the chance—that’s when change happens.
Change doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, patience, and a whole lot of self-love. But when you look back, you’ll be amazed at how far you’ve come.
Whether you’re working on your wellness, healing emotionally, building better habits, or just learning to show up for yourself each day—remember the 3 C’s.
Make the choice. Take the chance. Watch your life change.
