5 Signs You’re Ready to Step Into a Healing Role - Lisa C

Have you ever wondered if you’re meant to help others feel calmer, more grounded, or more supported in their lives? So many of us feel a quiet pull toward healing work long before we ever say it out loud. Sometimes it shows up as intuition. Sometimes as a long-standing desire to make people feel safe. And sometimes it shows up as your own journey through stress, burnout, or transformation.

If you’ve been feeling that nudge lately, here are five signs you might be ready to step into a healing role—whether that’s meditation teaching, Reiki, or another supportive path.

1. People naturally come to you for comfort or advice

You’re the person friends talk to when they’re overwhelmed or unsure. You’re the calm in the room, even when you don’t feel completely calm yourself. This is a strong sign you carry a grounding presence—something that can be developed even more with intentional training.

2. You’ve gone through your own challenges, and you want to help others through theirs

Many healers start with their own healing. Maybe you’ve struggled with stress, burnout, anxiety, or a big life transition. Instead of letting it harden you, it opened your heart. Now you want to help someone else feel less alone. Your lived experience is a gift in this work.

3. You feel called to something more meaningful

Even if you love your current life or career, there’s a part of you that wants more connection, purpose, and impact. You want to make a real difference. Being a meditation teacher or Reiki practitioner gives you a way to guide people into peace, clarity, and confidence—something our world needs more than ever.

4. You believe in growth—for yourself and others

Healers aren’t perfect. They’re just committed to growing. If you’re someone who loves learning about mindset, wellness, spirituality, or energy, that curiosity is a huge sign you’re ready. You don’t need to know everything. You just have to be willing to keep learning.

5. You can imagine yourself holding space for others

Maybe you’ve pictured yourself leading a meditation circle, teaching breathwork, offering Reiki, or quietly supporting someone through a tough moment. If you can visualize it—even just a little—you’re already closer than you think.

You don’t have to have it all figured out

Stepping into a healing role doesn’t require perfection. It requires heart. It requires compassion. And it requires the courage to say, “I’m ready to grow, and I’m ready to help others grow too.”

If this blog post made something inside you light up, listen to that. It might be your sign.  And if you’re curious, ready, or even just a little excited, Nourished School is here to guide you every step of the way.
